NARCOTIC DETECTION ODORS: Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Heroin, Ecstasy, Opium

These are the primary base odors for narcotics and street drugs. Thus, there are many combinations of the above odors the handler will need to be aware of and will need to train for detection by the dog. In addition, the handler and dog will need to be aware there may be a product with one name that can be made up of one base odor or another. For example, there is Methamphetamine that is “Brown” and another that is “White” or “Ice”.
