Can dogs find Mobile Phones? You better believe it. Just like everything on this earth cell phones have an odor fingerprint. Although it is not as unique as many others it is still unique enough. As a matter of fact I would rather call the dog an “electronic device detection dog”. Nonetheless it is very feasible to use a Mobile Phone Detection dog in a correctional facility.

You may ask yourself also, “But when I sniff my phone I can’t really smell anything...?” Although the odor may be minimal to us, remember that the dogs olfactory system is several times more effective than ours. And with the testing we have done with UC Davis scientists we have been able to confirm that dogs can detect odor from a microscopic source.

If trained correctly a dog and handler can be effective in locating hidden phones in your correctional facility. Do not get caught up in buy “magic cell phone dust” or other gimmicks. We simply train your dog on mobile phones so that he can find mobile phones. This is a little trick to it but it is not magic…just common sense.
