Falco K9 Academy has completed the production of four training videos on DVD. The DVD is easy to use and is set up so each stage can be selected in the opening menu as the team progresses through the training.

 Introduction of the E-collar - $35 + shipping

This production will help the handler learn the proper way to use the e-collar to train his or her dog. In the past the e-collar has been known as a brutal way to train a dog. If you follow our directions, the e-collar can be one of the most humane and effective ways to train your dog.

Training the "out" with the E-collar & Intro of the E-collar
- $45 + shipping

The introduction of the e-collar is the same as the above DVD. We believe that no matter what behavior you eventually want to train your dog, the introduction is the same and most important part. Once the dog has been introduced to the collar then we will take you through the steps of training a reliable "out" for the Police K9 or the home protection dog. This is a must for all dogs that are trained to bite.

Building Acquisition and Building Scenarios for the Police K9
$45.00 + shipping

This production will outline our plan for acquiring buildings while conducting normal patrol, during demos and by educating other department personnel. Once the building is acquired you will need to maintain a record and generate "thank you" letters. We will supply all the documentation necessary to accomplish your mission! Next, the DVD contains issues to consider when setting up building scenarios in addition to actual scenarios you can set up. This is a great video for new and veteran K9 handlers.

Basic Training Techniques for the Dog Handler - After, $45 + shipping

This video will cover many basic dog training and handler training techniques that will assist the working dog handler. This is a great video for the new handler who needs to develop good habits and basic handling skills. This is also a great video that will remind the veteran handler of some of the basic skills that may have gone by the wayside and caused some nagging problems. The video will include collar selection, proper corrections and proper praise, when to use a reward such as a toy or treat, how to employ real life training into regimental training…and more!

DVD - R Information

We use the DVD -R format to create our training Dvds. Currently 98% of all DVD players can play this format. Unlike Dvds you rent at the movie rental stores DVD -R's are recorded or burned with a laser. This requires a feature that most new players (1999 to present) do have. Unfortunately there are those very few that don't. Click on the following link to see if your DVD player is one that does or does not play the DVD - R format.
